I was driving home from Wheat Ridge, CO last night around 2 am. Every time I went over a bump my truck would kinda skip a beat and the CEL would flash. Eventually it completely stalled out. I stopped, turned the key and she started right up again. So I soldiered on, but about 10 feet later it happened again. I popped the hood, looked at the E.E.C. relay that I replaced recently, and sure enough it was loose. I gave it a good wack back into place and kept on truckin.
I replaced the relay because I traced !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! to it, but it seems the replacement (non OEM) relay is a bit shorter than the Ford one and it doesn’t fit 100% perfectly in the fuse box. I need to fab something up to get it to stay put.
All in all, the fix took maybe 30 seconds on the side of the road. And the fact that I knew exactly what was wrong and knew exactly how to fix it while exhausted at 2 am.... Its a good feeling to say the least.

Ohh I’ve been looking for you. I found this. Here is a mercury edition of your truck. The grill says so.

With the relay out can you get at the connectors? Squeeze them a little with needle nose or something, make it a tighter connection?
